Nagoya Automobile Malaysia Holding Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian subsidiary of Aichi Daihatsu Corporation, has opened its 3S center in Selangor.
Nagoya Automobile Malaysia Holding Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian subsidiary of Aichi Daihatsu Co., Ltd., has opened a new concept store 3S (Sales, Service, Spare parts) Center of PERODUA in Selangor.
This new 3S Center is designed to have the same functions as the Japanese store in Aichi Daihatsu. NAM plans to make it a facility / equipment that enhances customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. NAM aims to bring the know-how that NAM has cultivated together with PERODUA in Japan into this new 3S Center and to make it a model store for future automobile sales.
Initially, this construction site selected by NAM was subject to the conditions that it has to be constructed by designated contractor without bidding.
After Plus PM Consultant participating in this project, we worked with a local lawyer and made an effort to achieve a conditional elimination of the construction. As a result, we were able to change the project policy to enable a bidding process for selection of a cost-competitive contractor.
Plus PM Consultant has consistently supported this project from site selection to design management, confirmation of government office application, tender management, price negotiation, contract management, construction management until completion of the buidling. Especially at the tender stage, cost competitiveness is highly increased with the bidding from local and Japanese companies. We adopted the PAM contract, which is commonly practiced in Malaysia and implemented the Nominated subcontractor (NSC) method to further reduce costs.
During the construction, the progress was stopped due to the outbreak of Covid-19, we monitored all critical issues closely and negotiated with all stakeholders until resume of the construction. All the staff are happy and proud that finally we were able to successfully complete the construction.
