On February 26, 2025, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the construction site of Miyoshi Oil & Fat Malaysia’s New Lotion Plant. In a solemn atmosphere, internal and external stakeholders gathered to pray for the safety and smooth progress of the construction.
This project involves the construction of a New Lotion Plant utilizing glycerin as a raw material by Miyoshi Oil & Fat Malaysia at the Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park in Johor. With this initiative, the company aims to strengthen its production system for glycerin-based products, one of its core businesses, and establish a global supply chain.
The New Lotion Plant marks Miyoshi Oil & Fat’s first overseas factory construction project. By flexibly incorporating local standards, regulations, and practices rather than strictly adhering to Japanese specifications, the company seeks to deliver even better products to its customers.
The approximately 22,000-square-meter site will house a total of 18 storage tanks, enabling the annual production of 12,000 tons of tissue paper treatment agents and 13,000 tons of high-grade glycerin products.
